Elph?s Bento Box
Look what arrived in the mail today! This awesomely cute “Elph’s Circus” bento box from Japanistic! I’ve been collecting a lot of boxes lately so yes, you can say I’ve been on a “bento binge”! My bento-gear cupboards are overflowing… but how could I resist this unique looking bento box! Very colorful and cute, perfect for child’s meal or a snack box! And this snack is for …guess who? Yep, it’s for Saba Man and contains a hard boiled egg, inarizushi, edamame, takuwan, radish, tomatoes and carrots! I decided on nori punched bears (for egg details) to go with the bear motif on the cover but I may have to hunt down an elephant punch soon! But besides the stylish cover art, another super feature of this bento is that it has a bit of ”head room” so when I close the box… the lid doesn’t smash the contents. Love. It. I’m excited to have Japanistic as a supporter of the hapa bento blog as they have some cool and well designed Japanese items! If you haven’t yet visited their site please take a look. Their BPA free bento boxes are adorable and they have quite a few that I’ve never seen before. Like the Elph and Elpha line. Who doesn’t love a cute elephant? Japanistic also offers free shipping for orders over $50.00! Hey! Wouldn’t some radishes cut into mushrooms look really cool in this box? I’ll have to remember that for next time…
