FROM MY KITCHEN#7: PINEAPPLE-DURIAN JAM
Hello everyone, I have started this food meme for me to share and hopefully for anyone and everyone to join. I call this "FROM MY KITCHEN" since the plan is for us to feature food made or prepared from our own kitchen.. Whether you cooked it yourself or repackaged the meal to suit your foodie fans... Just tell us how you did it and that's it... This is open Saturdays and Sundays as most of us have more time to cook during weekends... But you can start sharing your entries from 7:01 pm Fridays and ends 12:01 AM Tuesdays... Please copy the badge and link it to this post. Thanks and happy cooking--- For my entry this week, I wanna share with you PINEAPPLE-DURIAN JAM.. Actually it was my sister Sweet who started this recipe. Her own creation and discovery of mixing together 2 fruits that were available in our refrigerator that fine afternoon... Prepare: 1/2 kg. Ripe Durian (pick the one that is very ripe) 1/2 kg Ripe Pineapples (candied pineapples) 16 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt Cooking Instructions: 1. Mix Durian and sugar into the pan. Use low heat and stir until it gets thick. Add candied pineapples and continue to stir... 2. Notice when you stick your finger on it, it won?t get on your finger. The Durian meat which is too ripe will have some juice that will help the jam not to get burned while on the stove. The juices of the candied pineapples also do the trick... Anyway, keep stirring and always use low heat. When the color becomes golden and the jam is set, remove from heat to cool before transferring them to your chosen containers .. ![]()
