IFT Food Expo in Anaheim - Samples, Freebies, & More!

Tens of thousands of food professionals from around the world make their way each year to the IFT Food Expo. Why? To see the latest products, technologies, tools, techniques, and services. Lucky for us, it was in Anaheim this year!

There were hundreds of companies that were represented at the convention, such as ConAgra Mills, Land O'Lakes, Lee Kum Kee, California Almonds, and more. It was jam packed with exhibitors!

Fresh berries galore! It was so fun tasting a variety of food and ingredients, and I can't complain when it's something refreshing like fruit!

I saw Daniel's eyes lit up when he saw Lobster Bisque. He also got the opportunity to chat with the representative and may possibly do business with this seafood company.

We got to try a lot of different flavored drinks at many of the booths, including this one. Notice the bottle of Tequila on top? That's right, we got a little bit of alcohol too!

This display was so cute, and for a moment, I thought it was fake. But I realized they were real cupcakes after poking it. This booth was unique because they allowed attendees to design their own cupcakes! It was like a crafts station. Too bad Daniel didn't let me play!

I was in mushroom heaven when I saw this display! I've never seen so many mushrooms in one peripheral view before. Unfortunately, they weren't samples.

Amongst everything else, there were also many booths that focused on dried fruit, which we got to try.

Here is Land O'Lakes with a sample of Brie Cheese Base with Cranberries. Yum!

We came home with bundles of samples, and here is Daniel's favorite sample - Vanilla Sugar and behind that, Tahitian vanilla fleur de sel. Very interesting!

I was getting sick of eating so many different samples, so luckily I was able to take them home!

A lot of Asian companies were represented at the Expo, and they provided some very cool samples. I already used the Miso Soup one!

It will take forever for me to show you every single sample we have, so this will end my post! Fresh cinnamon, nutmeg, and a bottle of Vanilla Extract. I think that calls for another Dessert post!
