Kadai Paneer / Indian Cottage Cheese with Capsicum
![]() Ingredients Paneer :250 grams/1 cup Red,Yellow & Green Capsicums/Bell peppers :1/2 cup(diced) Onion :1 no (medium,diced) Greenchilli :2-3 nos (slitted) Tomato Puree :1/4 cup Ginger-Garlic paste :1tbsp Turmeric Powder :1/4 tsp Coriander Powder :1 tsp Red Chilli Powder :1 tsp Cumin Powder :1/2 tsp Kasoori Methi Powder(dried fenugreek leaves) :1 tsp Asafetida :a pinch Chopped Coriander Leaves :2 tbsp Butter/Oil :3 tbsp Salt to taste Method of Preparation : 1.Cut the paneer and bell peppers into small cubes. 2.Heat oil in a pan and add the paneer cubes and shallow fry them till it starts to turn into light golden brown color,remove from the fire and keep it aside. 3.In the same pan add the bell peppers and onion.Saute for 2-3 minutes or till it become tender, transfer onto a kitchen tissue paper. 4.In a kadai add 1 tbsp of oil and asafetida, tomato puree,green chilly,coriander powder,cumin powder,turmeric,chilli powder,kasoori methi and salt;Reduce the fire to low and saute for 3-4 minutes. 5.Add the fried bell peppers and paneer,combine well and remove from the fire. 6.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. 7.Serve hot with any Indian breads.
