Music Notes for iPad
I’ve been buying sheet music from Music Notes for quite some time. They make it so easy. You find your song, pay and print. Done. I’ve been very happy with the site and the service, but this app takes it to a whole new level. A couple of weeks ago, I was shopping for sheet music and noticed, in the details section “iPad:Compatible”, huh? I clicked the question mark and the pop up said, “This sheet music can be synced to our free iPad app after purchase”. Um, huh? So I went to iTunes downloaded it . I logged into my Music Notes acount from the app, on my iPad and it said something like, “There is sheet music available for syncing, sync now?”, or something like that. I clicked yes and in a couple of minutes, everything I’ve ever gotten from them was on my iPad. Sweet. Yesterday, they released an update that is so fantastic I had to share it with you. Open the app and you’re presented with all your sheet music. Let’s choose a song. How about “Like the Way I Do” by Melissa Etheridge? There it is. Swipe or tap to turn the page. Make notes on the pages as well. I play keyboard, I have a terrific one that I got for my birthday this year. It has a ton of accompaniment options but it’s really hard to keep track of the voices and the tempo and the instrument options. If I use them, I usually write them on the sheet music. I can do that here too, but look… There are three different options for notes. You can type… or you can highlight… You can even use your finger to write, like a stylus. Of course that looks ridiculous, so I wouldn’t keep that, but it would be great for jotting something in. Highlighting a few measures that you want to remember something about, or even a chord that you’re not sure about. (Like anyone has to remind me to be loud though, right?) I just needed the voice and the tempo, so I deleted everything else. (And look! I can choose to make it pink! That’s not the only color though, there are lots of options, fonts, styles, weights, etc.) You can organize your music into folders But my absolute favorite option is the set list. Organize your play list, in whatever order you like and it’s one continuous collection, so you just keep turning the page without having to exit one song to enter another. Such a thoughtful, brilliant feature. I was thrilled with this free app before, but the new options are truly terrific. I love this company, I love this app and I was in no way compensated for this article. I just love it and I thought someone else might benefit from it.Similar Posts: related searches : Music
