Plain Dosa / Indian Lentil Crepes

By Sashas Cookbook (Visit website)

No matter how many times you eat a dosa, you can never get over it. Dosa was always my favorite breakfast and i guess it will remain the same. Especially when you have any spicy chutney to go with on the side. There is nothing like having a dosa to brighten up the day.

Preparation time = 10 mins (Excl. soaking time )
Serves = 4 -6
Calories = Approx 100/ Dosa

INGREDIENTS-
1 Cup Urad dal / Minapappu
2 Cups Rice
2 Tbsp Chana dal
2 Tbsp Flat rice / Atukulu

PREPARATION-
1. Soak all the ingredients except flat rice overnight. Wash and drain in the morning. Grind into a smooth paste and set aside. You can use the batter now or even after 2-3 hours. Whenever you want to ferment the batter, never add salt in the beginning. Let the batter ferment for the time you want and then add the salt.
2. Now heat a non stick pan. Ladle a spoonful of batter and spread on the pan. Apply oil on the edges and let it cook.

Plain dosa
3. Once done fold over and transfer onto a serving plate. Never cook the crepes turning on to the other side.

Dosa

Serve with your favorite chutney!!!! Delishhhhhhh.
