Recipe: Toasted Sandwich with Cheese and Chicken Salami
In Turkey we have a bread called bazlama, a doughy, village bread made by the local women. The supermarkets also sell this type of bread in smaller individual sizes which are good for this recipe. But any type of flat, doughy, rolls will do.
Ingredients - serves 2 2 rolls 2 slices of cheese, I used a gouda type cheese 4 to 6 slices of chicken salami or ham 2 slices of tomato nob of butter for frying Method - Cut each roll in half and layer with slice of cheese, followed by salami, slice of tomato and other half of roll. Heat a nob of butter in a large frying pan and place each filled roll in the pan with the cheese layer nearest the bottom of the pan. Fry on a moderate heat, until the cheese starts to melt and the roll starts to crispen then carefully turn over and repeat on the other side. Remove from the pan and serve hot. related searches : Recipe
