Restaurant of the Week with SDBF, you know who you are! Lu Moroccan, another restaurant from the owner of Terry?s. Chosen as the restaurant of the week by SDBF and me.  And so we ordered Hummus Beirouty (Php120). Deeds didn?t like this, and I knew why. The cumin was just too strong for her. So I gave her the part without cumin and as expected, she was able to appreciate the Hummus. I?ve known her for 15 years now, and throughout those years, we?ve been eating everywhere. This explains why I knew.

So we went on with the Aromatic Seafood Bowl w/ Enoki Mushrooms (Php385). The salt level was lacking, but flavors were wonderful in the mouth. You can really taste the sea in this soup, at the same time feel the hard work & love put on this dish.

We?re both meat lovers so we chose Mexican Steak Frites (Php675) and Lu?s Ultimate Porkchop w/ Tangy Orange-Achuete Sauce (Php595). The steak was common, wouldn?t order this again. If cows have prime rib cut, then this is the pork equivalent! I have to commend the doneness of the porkchop, it was cooked perfectly. It?s actually hard to grill a porkchop this tender, considering its thickness is 1.5?. Sauce was too red and lacked flavor.

Drinks we ordered were Iced Tea (Php95) and DiabLu (Php230) lemon, mint & gin slush. Oh, I just noticed! Chef Sau of Chelsea was also dining there that night.
