Sambal Prawns With Edamame
Sambal prawns and edamame came as a surprise to me. They actually combine well. Both the prawns and edamame are tender and delicious and with the hot and spicy sambal, it tastes really good. I love prawns, or shrimps, so this has now become another favourite of mine. I only learned about edamame when I came to Scotland. A friend introduced me to it. I fell in love with it the first time I tried it. Best of all, my family likes it too. Edamame is the young soya beans and are green in colour. They are very nutritious and delicious even boiled plain. Sometimes I do that and eat as a snack when watching TV. Sometimes I made a vegetarian appetiser as in Best Vegetarian Appetizer. This is a simple recipe. You can cook more sambal and keep in the fridge and use it for other dishes too or eat it as it is with rice or noodles. Sambal is very popular in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. Every dish seems to become very delicious with sambal. Ingredients A Ingredients B Heat up some oil in the wok or frying pan. Add the chopped garlic and fry until golden. Then add the chopped chilies, dry chilies and onions and continue to fry until fragrant. Add seasoning in Ingredients B. Mix well and dish up. Heat up some fried garlic oil in frying pan or wok. Add the edamame and prawns and fry until heated through. Pour in the spicy sambal sauce. Mix well and dish up. Serve hot with rice, noodles, pasta, paratha, chapatti or with any other dish. Adjust seasoning according to our taste. Do you have a favourite edamame dish to share?
