Sliders with Grilled French Bread Buns
Recipe: (6 sliders) 6 slices french bread rubbed with olive oil on one side 1 tbsp sweet red pepper relish (by the pickles in the grocery store) 3 tbsp mayonnaise 1 red bell pepper very thinly sliced 1 tbsp white vinegar 1/2 teaspoon honey 1 lbs ground chuck (any ground beef will do) 6 slices Gouda cheese salt and pepper to taste Red pepper slaw: Combine bell pepper, vinegar, and honey add salt and pepper to taste and let sit. Russian dressing: Mix the mayonnaise and red pepper relish together (it is that easy). You can leave it chunky or smooth it out in the food processor, I prefer smooth. Form 6 thin ground beef patties. Rub them with a little oil, sprinkle some salt, and place on a hot grill. At the same time place bread oil side down on the grill until you got some nice grill marks. Once burgers are close to their desired temperature place cheese on top to melt. Burger assemble bottom to top: bread grilled side down, Russian dressing, burger, cheese, bell pepper slaw, Russian, and bread grilled side up. They were goooood. I really enjoy the crunch from the grilled bread. Can you believe that Russian dressing is that easy. Sweet and zingy, perfect for a burger.
