Super Bowl Eats! Ham Rolls

By Cooking with K (Visit website)

This weekend is the Super Bowl, and here are some great Super Bowl Eats that will wow your friends. My idea of a great Super Bowl feast is to have everything easily accessible, and the best way to do that is to serve finger foods. That way you spend less time setting up everything on the table, and in the end you have an easy clean up. I Hope your team wins, but more than anything, I hope you enjoy the time you spend with your friends and family ~ Simply, Food Brings People Together!

Ham Rolls, "Granny's Recipe"

Ham Rolls are the perfect appetizer for any gathering you may have, or if you are like me, you may like to make them just for a snack. Every Thanksgiving, Christmas, or special occasion, you will probably see these on our table. The recipe came from my Mother. There are so may variation now, but I have to say hands down, that the ham roll recipe that my Mother handed down to me. is still my favorite, and that is the one with just ham, cream cheese, and pickles. These are so simple and easy to make. I can promise you, a tray of these mouth-watering Ham Rolls are sure to put a smile on everyone's face at your Super Bowl Party!

Ham Rolls, "Granny's Recipe"

8 slices Plumrose Ham (or any oblong thin sliced ham)
8 oz. cream cheese, softened room temperature
8 whole dill pickles (sometimes I use whole sweet pickles), pat each pickle dry

Take all the ham out of the package together and lay on a cutting board. Pat dry the top slice of ham. Spread 1 tablespoon cream cheese on the ham, making sure to cover to the edge of ham slice. Lay dry pickle on the long end of the ham. Begin to roll ham and cream cheese in jelly roll fashion around the pickle; set aside. Continue with the remaining 7 slices of ham and pickles. When completed, place ham rolls in an air tight container and refrigerate. When ready to serve, slice 3/4 inch thick and place on a serving tray.

Note: You may slice them thinner if you desire.
