![]() Vanilla Chai Bark with Graham Cracker Crust. This probably my favorite dessert creation yet. While pondering new cooking ventures, I thought how awesome would a simple Chai bark be with a cup of tea? And so I went to work and created this delicious treat, that would also be lovely gifted in a tin! I added the graham cracker crust to give it some texture and make it more tea-complementary?ended up being what made this recipe so fab. So here?s what you?ll need? 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp cardamom A few dashes of ground nutmeg A few dashes of ground ginger A few dashes of ground cloves A few drips of vanilla extract 8 oz. of white chocolate baking bars (I used Ghirardelli, but Lindt is good too!) 3/4 cup of graham cracker crumbs 3 heaping tbsp. of butter (I used Benecol; a lighter substitute) 1 tbsp of sugar 1/4 a cup of sliced almonds So first off, preset your oven to 380. Get a cookie sheet and cover it with a piece of parchment paper. Mix the crumbs, butter, and sugar in a bowl until well combined. Transfer to the parchment paper and spread out into an evenly thin layer with a roll pin. Pop in oven for 15 minutes. In a microwave safe bowl, melt the white chocolate in the microwave for 2 minutes or until dissolved. Next, take first 6 ingredients listed and add to the melted white chocolate. Feel free to add more or less of spices according to your preference and how chai-esque you want your bark to be! Stir until mixed well. Take out graham cracker crust from oven and let cool for about 5 minutes. (Don?t be discouraged if the crust looks like it?s cracking, the melted mixture will keep it glued together!) Pour the chai bark mixture on top of the crust and spread evenly. Top with sliced almonds and pop in the freezer for 20 minutes. When done, you can break & eat and then transfer to the fridge! This came out so lovely. My mom?s my biggest critic when it comes to matters of the kitchen, being a foodie herself, and she raaaaaved about this stuff. One for the books! So easy, unique, seasonal, and pretty to look at. Enjoy it my friends!
