Quick and easy vanilla custard dessert

A vanilla cream dessert that offers a simple and excellent recipe, both in taste and texture! It almost reminds us of the famous Danette ;-) You won't need much in terms of ingredients, and we're sure you already have them in your pantry! A quick preparation that will still require 3 hours of chilling in the refrigerator. The perfect timing for an ideal consistency.

Boil the milk with the split vanilla bean and its seeds.
In a bowl, mix the egg yolks with the sugar until the mixture becomes creamy and pale. Add the corn starch and mix well.
Once the milk has boiled, gradually add it to the previous mixture, then return it to the saucepan. Thicken over medium/high heat, stirring constantly with a whisk.
When the mixture reaches the desired thickness, pour it into serving ramekins, and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
And there you have it, your vanilla custard is ready!
Observations
For a cream that is more fluid or thicker, add or remove corn starch.
