Vanilla Date Oat Crunch + Holey Donuts Giveaway

By Eat, Drink and Be Aware (Visit website)

Good Morning and Happy Hump Day!

I can't believe it is Wednesday. This week is whizzing by and the kids only have 14 days of school left! Wow, this year has gone by quick and my children have changed so much, I hate to say it but they are big kids now, 8 and 6. My husband's travel schedule is heating up again so the kids and I are planning out some special things for this coming weekend. He is taking off to California- to his boss's 70th Birthday Party. We all kind of want to tag along and go and see our old friends in Thousand Oaks but we would have to miss a field trip and a concert and the kids did not want to go that bad! Therefore, we are left to our own devices and I am really looking forward to it. I feel like a missed many a weekend during my yoga teacher training so I am getting to make up for lost time.

So on to breakfast.... another wonderful bowl of my current all time favorite:

Vanilla Date Oat Crunch

1/2 cup of rolled oats
1/2 Silk Vanilla Soy Milk with Added Fiber
1/2 cup of water
1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed
1 tsp Cinnamon

Cook for 4-5 minutes over medium heat. Remove from heat and top with:

1 tablespoon of wheat germ
2 chewy dates, diced
3 Walnuts, chopped
Handful of Shredded Spoonfuls

Enjoy!

I jazzed it up with a handful of Shredded Spoonfuls but to be honest it did not provided the crunch I was looking for so if you are to try this combo, add a handful of Go Lean Crunch. The Shredded Spoonfuls are AWESOME just on their own without milk.

So the agenda today- I NEED to get back into shape. I feel like I have lost all the muscle tone in my arms and desperately need to put myself on a weight schedule. I am going to run before teaching Baby Boot Camp, and then after my HCF personal training client am going to come home and either do Ashtanga Yoga or P90X series. I will see how I am feeling. The scale did not budge this morning, stayed the same which is fine considering I went to Yogurt Planet yesterday. But I am motivated to get lean and mean again and I know what I need to do but just have not been consistent in my schedule. I also noticed that my body has gotten used to my weight circuit and that I need to change it up because it is not working. SO I will be tracking my progess here and we shall see how I mix it up a bit!
