100 g dried rice vermicelli

1/3 cup chopped cabbage

2 garlic cloves

1 chopped red chilli

1/2 tsp chilli paste

1 tbsp oil

onion cut in thick slices

1 tsp soya sauce

½ cup bean sprout

½ cup chopped lettuce

1 lemon cut into four parts


  • Soak the bee hoon in hot water for 5 mins,rinse and drain it.
  • Heat the oil and fry the onion,chilli garlic,cabbage,lettuce with chilli paste.
  • Add the softened and drained noodles and swirl continuously so that the noodles become coated with the chilli paste.
  • Add the sauce and salt. Continue cooking for up to 4 minutes.
  • Add the bean sprouts and cook for 1-2 minutes more. If you feel spicy can squeeze bit lemon juice over it.
  • Bee hoon is ready to serve now.
