Cheese egg omelette with a side of fried potatoes

Ingredients

Number of serving: 4

1)Cheese Egg Omelette:


1/2 cup finely chopped onions

1/2 cup finely chopped tomatoes

2-3 green chillies finely chopped

2 slices American cheese or cheese of your choice -cut into strips

Salt to taste

Oil


2)Fried Potatoes:

2 cups potatoes diced

2-3 green chilles finely chopped

salt and white pepper to taste

2 tablepoon freshly chopped Cilantro

1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds

1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder

Oil for shallow fry.

Preparation

  • 1)Cheese Egg Omelette:
    Whisk the eggs in a Bowl. Add the chopped onions, tomatoes, green chillies and season with salt. Heat oil in a skillet or a Tava. Pour half of the egg mixture. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes on medium flame. When's its almost cooked, sprinkle the cheese strips. This recipes makes two cheesy omelettes. Now turn your omelette carefully and let it cook on the other side for about 2 minutes. Fold into half and serve along with the side of fried Potatoes.
  • 2)Fried Potatoes:
    Heat enough oil in a pan to shallow fry. Add mustard seeds and when they splutter add the potatoes and green chillies. Add Turmeric, salt and pepper. Let it Cook it on medium flame for around 8- 10 minutes or until cooked. They will get a slight crunchy texture. Ready to serve. Garnish with fresh Cilantro.
