Preparation

  • Add ghee and curds to maida and knead dough. Continue to knead for 10 minutes and set aside for 15 minutes.
  • In a thick bottom vessel add sugar and water. Make a thick syrup. This should take about 15 minutes of cooking time on medium flame. Stir to avoid the syrup from burning. Set aside.
  • Take a medium size dough ball and flaten as shown in the picture. Heat ghee in a frying pan. Fry the balls till light brown.
  • Add them to sugar syrup. Make sure the balls are coated well. Remove after 1 minute and place on a tray to cool.
  • Garnish with almond slices or pista.
