Ingredients

Number of serving: 6
1 1/2 cup water

1/2 cup honey

1/3 cup butter

3 cups whole wheat flour

3 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons . salt

1 cup quick cooking oats

4 1/2 teaspoons . yeast

Preparation

  • Then, combine oats and 5 cups flour in your mixer base. Add in the salt and yeast, and mix the dry ingredients together.
  • Add the warm honey butter mixture to the flour, and mix for 1 minute using speed 2 on the kitchen aid mixer.
  • Add eggs, and mix an additional minute. Add remaining flour; knead about 4 minutes. Cover and rise for 1 hour until it doubles in size.
  • Divide dough into two, and shape into two loaves. Cover, and allow the dough to rise again for 1 hour, or until doubled.
  • Bake at 375 for 30-40 minutes. Remove from the oven, and take loaves out of the pan and allow to cool on a wire wrack.
