Spinach fried bread / palak puri

Number of serving: 4
Whole Wheat Flour - 2.5 cups

Spinach / Palak - 1 cup finechopped

Green Chilli - 2 Finely Chopped

Ajwain / Carom Seeds - 1 teaspoon - Crushed

Oil for frying


  • Mix all the ingredients together, make it in to a soft dough by sprinking water.
  • Keep it aside for 20 minutes.
  • Divide them in to equal lemon sized balls and roll them in to small puris (flat round bread).
  • Deep fry them in oil until golden brown on both sides.
  • Serve hot with curry of your choice.
