IngredientsSpinach 1 bunch (washed and chopped finely)Onion 1medium (finely chopped)Dry red chillies 1-2 no. (broken)Mustard seeds 1/2 tspChana dal 2 tspThoor dal 1/4 cup(half cooked)Turmeric powder a small pinchSalt as neededOil 2 tspMethodWash and finely chop the spinach and keep aside.Cook thoor dal with turmeric powder ...do not cook completely 50-60% is enough.Heat oil in an available vessel,add mustard seeds allow to splutter .And add chana dal fry till golden brown, then add the dry chillies and chopped onions.Fry the onion lightly and add the chopped spinach .Add a pinch of turmeric powder and enough salt.Keep stirring the spinach..do not close it with lid and no need to add water.Spinach itself will ooze water and get cooked soon within 3-4 minutes.Lastly add the cooked thoor dal and stir gently.Its done...now the spinach poriyal is ready to serve.

If u want u can also add some shredded coconut...but adding dal will give gud taste and a healthy choice too.
