Make your home a savannah with this funny and pretty cake.

Ingredients

Number of serving: 8

1 cup sugar

3/4 cup oil

1/2 cup milk

2.3 cups flour

1 tsp baking powder

2 Tbsp cocoa

vanilla extract

salt

Preparation

  • Step 1 - Zebra cake (steps and video)
    Mix the eggs with the sugar, a pinch of salt, the oil and the milk. Split this batter in half.
  • Step 2 - Zebra cake (steps and video)
    To one half, add 1 tsp of baking powder, 1.3 cups flour, and some vanilla extract. Mix well.
  • Step 3 - Zebra cake (steps and video)
    To the other half, add what is left of flour (1 cup), 1 tsp of baking powder, and the powdered cocoa. Mix well.
  • Step 4 - Zebra cake (steps and video)
    In a greased mold, put 3 Tbsp of the cocoa batter, in the middle.
  • Step 5 - Zebra cake (steps and video)
    Still in the middle, put 3 Tbsp of the vanilla batter, on top of the chocolate one.
  • Step 6 - Zebra cake (steps and video)
    Repeat these steps, 3 tablespoons at a time.
  • Step 7 - Zebra cake (steps and video)
    Bake 40 minutes at 350°F (180°C).
  • Step 8 - Zebra cake (steps and video)
    There you are, your zebra cake is ready!
