Burnt Toast: Heart Themed Party Food
Burnt Toast Thursday is all about simple recipes for busy parents . . . for parents who struggle to not burn the toast amid the rest of life's business. Thanks for joining us. If you have a party for kids to plan for on V-day, consider going with easier than easy heart shaped PB&J. Just use heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out the bread and then make open faced PB&J. Choose red or purple jelly or jam. Add a fruit salad with a red, purple and white color theme. Or try fruit strung along a skewer . . . it's not clear why, but kids enjoy food more if you first run it through with a stick. For desert stick with simple again and opt for heart shaped sugar cookies decorated with simple sprinkles. (We won't protest if you just buy them either). Or try a red velvet cake. Bake it in a 9x13 pan and instead of frosting, just sprinkle chocolate chips and marshmallows onto the still hot cake. Leave your link or comments giving us a great simple recipe to share with everyone. related searches : Burnt
