Chades Tapsilog?s Lechon Kawali & Other Silogs
In one of my many busy December days baking in the kitchen, Mom came home with 2 plastic bags full of ready to eat meals from Chades Tapsilog. I?ve long been wanting to try this because it is very near our place and I?ve heard good things about Chades. Mom knows this, so I guess she just wanted to make sure I didn?t skip my meal even if I was busy in the kitchen. So let?s start with their Lechon Kawali (Php44). It is very economical, served with rice. The taste is good and skin was crisp yet light. The ratio of fat to meat is just right. This is one of the best Lechon Kawali I?ve ever tasted, even better than the ones in posh restaurants. Lechon KawaliTheir Tapsilog (Php40) was also good, the meat is a bit on the tough side, but still good. TapsilogMom ordered just one Longsilog (Php38) which is fine because it was big anyways. LongsilogEverything was served garlic rice and a sunny-side up. And since it was very inexpensive already, they charge Php6 pero styro for take-aways. They also offer Fruit Salad (Php20) which tasted pretty good, especially for a tapsilog place. Over-all, this place is a two-thumbs up for me. Serving is big considering the price. Taste is good. Service is good. I?m going back for sure.
