Chana dal - Dudhi; Chana dal - lauki
Ingredients:
2 cups chana dal - soaked in water overnight. 1 onion - thinly sliced 1 tomato - chopped 1 medium lauki (Dudhi or bottle gourd) - cut in small cube sides 1 tblsp red chilie powder, dhaniya powder, and adrak-lassan (ginger-garlic) Salt and lime juice to taste Tumeric powder - a pinch Oil - 3 tblsp Process: Heat oil in a pressure cooker; Add in onions and saute till golden brown; Add in tomatoes and fry till oil separates out; Add in laal masala (#5), salt, lime juice and tumeric powder; Fry till oil separates out; Add in chana dal and lauki, mix well; Close the pressure cooker and let it cook till dal is fully cooked. I usually cook it for about 10-12 minutes in a pressure cooker. Serve it with hot rotis. Enjoy!!! related searches : Chana
