Chiacchiere (Italian Carnival Cookies)
ingredients 250 gr flour 20 gr sugar 25 gr butter 2 eggs 2 table spoons rum, marsala or amaretto half pack of baking powder zest of half lemon little bit salt ice sugar peanut oil vanille extract preparation make a whole in the flour add the salt, sugar, zest of the lemon and the baking powder mix make a whole in the mix whip the eggs add the marsala or rum or amaretto add the it in the middle of the mix add the butter in little pieces mix with a fork then with the hands place the dough in some house hold foil leave it for 30 minutes rise take 1/3 of the dough take the rolling pin and make it thin take the pasta machine turn the pasta in it till it's thin poor the oil and vanilla extract in a pan boil the peanut oil cut the the dough in pieces of 10 cm on 6 cm bake the cookies in it place them on some paper towel do this everytime till all the dough is done take the pasta machine when all is done sprinkle it with lots of ice sugar
