Comfort...Summer Style
There really is something comforting about a Smore. The stable graham crackers holding together melting chocolate and gooey marshmallow. I like to let the fire toast the marshmallow so it has a crunch! Yesterday and today I have been baking up a storm of comfort for some people that deserve it for the sacrifice they are making.
I decided on Smore cupcakes. Another great item to fill in Lyndsay's liners and a great summer treat anyone can put together fast. Cupcakes Duncan Hines Dark Chocolate Fudge Mix 3 large eggs 1 1/3 c water 1/2 c oil 1 cup Chocolate chips 24- 26 cupcake linersA jar of Hot Fudge, room temperature A bag of large marshmallows A box of Honey Graham Crackers -Prepare the cupcake batter and mix in the chips. -Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Place your liners in your pans and fill half way up. Bake for 19-21 miniutes. -While still warm, fill a piping bag with the Wilton filling tip they have in the cupcake set. Fill each cupcake in the middle by pushing the tip into the middle. Gently and slowly pull the tip out. -Coat the top of the cupcake with a light coating of the hot fudge. Push a one inch square of graham cracker into the top, place a marshmallow behind it. -Once you have finished all the cupcakes, you can torch the marshmallows to toast them. Please be careful!
