Fresh Cherry, Flax and Pistachio Oats

Good Morning and Happy Friday!

I am looking forward to the long weekend! All of the kids finally went to bed without incident last night so we have had a successful sleepover and most likely will be a little tired today at school, but there is only 8 days left so things are definitely winding down.

Hubby just left for New Orleans and I wish him a safe and sound trip. He is going to have a blast. A good friend from college is getting married and this will sort of be a big college reunion.

Breakfast today was Fresh Cherry, Flax and Pistachio Oats and it was amazing! Love Cherries.


Fresh Cherry, Flax and Pistachio Oats

1/2 cup rolled oats
1 cup water
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed

Cook for 4-5 minutes over medium heat.

Top with

Fresh Cherries
1 tablespoon chopped pistachios
1 tablespoon wheat germ
1 tsp brown sugar

Absolutely fantastic!

SO the kids are already stirring and I hear giggling so I am going to wrap up and catch up at lunchtime.
