Frontera Cabernet / Merlot

Product Review: Frontera Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot Concha Y Toro

Frontera Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot is one of my favorite red wines! The color is a rich, bright-red berry and the flavor has notes of chocolate, plum and vanilla--not too dry and not too sweet.  The Cabernet gives the blend character and packs a bit of a punch while the Merlot softens and helps to mellow it out. A smooth, luscious, and full-bodied blend that is amazingly complex for this price point (price starts at $4.99).

Don't let the price fool you.  This Chilean gem is amazing.  It's my go-to red wine for gifts, dinner parties and private parties :>).  Pairs well with beef, pastas, dishes with red sauces, pizza, strong cheeses and chocolate but you may find yourself wanting to drink this wine with everything.

Tips: Most red wines are best served at room temperature.  When serving red wines, open the wine and allow it to breathe for up to two hours.  If you don't have the time to let the wine breathe, pour some in a decanter, swirl a few times and pour into glasses.  I'm giving this product 5 stars! *****  Cheers :>).
