Green Chickpea (hara chana)Veggie-Fruit salad
![]() After my routine exercise,i needed some proteins and fiber,so i made this green kiwi,green avocado,green cucumber,and above all green chana salad along with veggies and tangy dressing for breakfast and a glass of the scraped out watermelon juice.i enjoyed the bowl thoroughly with my 18 mnth old son who was excited to pick and eat out avocado and kiwi pieces to munch..and later to make a mess. U need- Soaked and Boiled Green Chickpeas-1 cup(soak the dry chickpeas overnight and boil in ample water with salt the next day) Veggies-finely grated carrot,fnely chopped cucumber,shredded green cabbage,chopped onion,chopped tomato/sliced olives Fruits-Kiwi sliced and quatered,avocado-small bites seasoning-salt/pepper/red chilly powder/cumin powder/chat masala powder as per taste EV olive oil-1 tsp lime/lemon juice-as per taste orange zest toasted almonds..crushed..i had some leftover from my almong biscotti toasted cashewnuts-optional cheese..optional...i used cheddar variations-can add apple,pineapple,grapes,pear,celery,radish.. note-keep an hand on salt while maing the dressing,as we hv already added to the chickpeas while boiling Method- Take seasoning in a bowl add lemon juice,orange zest.mix and set aside. Heat a pan with oil,add boiled chana and roast on high for 2-3 mins... Take out in a bowl...when its still warm add the seasoning mixed with lemon juice and orange zest.mix well. add veggies/fruits..mix ..Add cahews and almonds ..toss well..
