Hydroponic Lettuce,Goat Cheese and Blueberry Salad

Fresh and oh so tasty. First, I have to give a shout out to a few amazing LOCAL peeps who are Amazing!! First Mr. Jerry, no this is not his real name, however he does look a lot like Jerry Garcia! He grows the most beautiful Salad Greens I have ever seen. They taste so good. He comes on Saturdays to our local Farmer?s Market and sells my fav, a combo of red & green leaf, Bibb & romaine for $5. I am so in love with the fact that Jerry shares his lettuce here. He sells to Whole Foods and tons of restaurants in the area. He is a grow master!! Here?s a pic of the hydroponic lettuce.

P1010140 Another FAV of mine is Ripshin Farms who has the most incredibly mild and tasty goat cheese I have ever put in my mouth. She is only there on Wednesdays so I must hit the market twice a week to get both of my OBSESSIONS!!

P1010142In their honor, I made a yum salad with the green leaf lettuce, blueberries (NC grown), goat cheese, red onion and Champagne vinaigrette. DELISH!!
