Lifestyle change?Day 1
Before getting into what I ate, I would like to give a shout out to my dear friend Mara over at I Made Dinner. Though it was the crack of dawn in Chicagoland, she supported me through a very rough morning. A morning of turmoil about going back on Weight Watchers and deciding that I have to do what it right for me rather than what may or may not be right for my intuitive eating blog. Mara has been a great friend to me and though we do not always agree on things, I know that I can count on her. So, thanks, Mara. And while I am at thanking folks, thanks to everyone who commented with kindness yesterday. It means alot to me that everyone understands that I made a choice that was very hard for me and that I think, for now, it was the right one. Blogland rocks…so hard! OK, we can talk about the food now. Since I didn’t decide until late morning to join WW, my day was not planned well for changing my lifestyle but I trudged through it. For breakfast I had half a whole wheat bagel with peanut butter and an apple. The apple was honey crisp that my sweet friend Sarah brought me during brunch on Sunday, I LOVE honey crisp apples! For lunch, The Pro picked up Firebird’s for T and I. I had a spinach salad with mushrooms, tomatoes, hard boiled egg, grilled salmon and balsamic vinaigrette. For dessert, I had a few sips of a soy latte that The Pro brought in along with lunch. I didn’t drink the whole thing because I had been sipping my chai tea during the morning and I really didn’t need anymore caffeine. Just before heading home, I had greek yogurt with thawed frozen cherries to tide me over until dinner. For dinner, I made whole wheat shells with turkey meat sauce from the freezer. I swear pasta sauce gets better after you freeze it! On the side, I had a little steamed broccoli. After dinner, I read for a while and then headed to my 7pm vinyasa yoga class. Sonja was the teacher, she is one of my favorites. You know, that whole hate her while your doing it but love her after kind of teachers, well, I think Sonja wrote the book on that The 75 minute class wiped me out so I headed straight to bed when I got home. My first day back on WW was a bit challenging but I think it was because I didn’t go into it with a food plan. But, I can already tell, things are looking up. Oh yeah, and this is my new stove Thought Provoker: Do you plan your meals or do you fly by the seat of your pants? I have always been a planner and recently let that slip but I do think I end up eating less when I have a plan. ![]() related searches : Lifestyle
