Vareka uperi( Raw Banana and Black eyed peas curry)
Preparation

Heat oil in a pan, when hot add the tempering ingredients and allow the mustard to crackle.

Next add the chopped onions and saute for a minute, then add the raw banana and saute for few more mins.

Now add the lobia, ground paste, turmeric powder, required salt and 1/4 cup water.

Cover the pan with a lid and reduce the flame and cook till the raw banana is tender.

Once the raw banana is done, remove the lid, increase the heat and cook till the gravy is thick and dry.

Serve hot with steamed rice or appam.
