Mad Hatter?s Tea Party
One of my friends is hosting a Mad Hatter?s Tea Party next week to celebrate the end of summer exams. I quite happily agreed that I would provide cakes and pastries as I do love a good challenge, and a challenge it shall be. The wonderland in which the tea party will be set has to be magical and enchanting and I am sure that it will be. With this in mind I thought that my baking delights should reflect this directly. The question is how do you make cupcakes and brownies magical. Butter cream, sprinkles, sparklers and candles are just a few I can name but there is most definately a world of possibilities to chose from. I have taken many things into consideration and have decided on my choice of cakes I will be bringing. A simple vanilla cupcake loaded with vivid pink buttercream and edible glitter are sure to add a mad element to the party which is quintessential for a Mad Hatter?s Tea Party. Queen of hearts biscuits are another idea which I am sure to follow through on and finally I could not turn up to the party without a box ladden with mourish brownies with a devishly thick chocolate frosting. I am going to start preparations next week and hopefully live up to my expectations. I would love to hear any stories you have of mad parties which involved rather mad food.
