Memorial Day Waffle Day

The past week in Detroit has been absolutely perfect, weather wise.  We have our share of not-so-great weather, but weeks like this (80 and sunny every day) make up for the snow and cold and rain we get from time to time.  There is rain in the forecast day ? truthfully the grass needs it, and I need an excuse to stay home and clean up my house!  But?right now it?s hot and sunny hazy. 

I started out with a 5.0 mile run around the lake.  I wanted to get that out of the way since I took a rest day yesterday being lazy on a boat! 

I majorly lacked anything nutritional yesterday (pretzels, gummy bears, Cheez-Its, pizza) so my body is craving some healthy food.

    I?m looking forward to getting some things done around the house today.  I think my skin needs a rest from the sun ? I?ve been outside for the past two days and am really kind of fried!!  I love having a bronze color and my hair has turned a nice shade of blond from the sun.  That?s what summer?s all about!
