Muringayila Errisseri (Drumstick Leaves Curry )
ingredients 1. cooked toovar dal- 1 cup 2. muringayila - 1 cup ( take care not to have any bits of the stem ) 3. garlic - 2 flakes 4. cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp 5. coconut grated - 1cup 6. mustard - 1/2 tsp 7. turmeric -1/4 tsp 8. salt to taste 9 .curry leaves-1 stalk 10. coconut oil - 1 dsp 11. coconut 1 tsp 12.green chilly -1 13.dry red chilly -1 14. red chilly powder -1/4 tsp method: 1.Grind ingredients from 3 to 5 to a fine paste. 2. Mix with cooked dal, adding enough water and bring to boil. 3. Add salt, turmeric powder, green chilly and red chilly powder and keep over medium fire for one more minute . 4.Heat coconut oil in a pan , add murinayila and saute for a minute and add to the cooked gravy. 5. remove from fire. 6. fry mustard , red chilly curry leaves and add1 tsp coconut and fry till brown .add this to the gravy. Serve hot with rice or rotis.
