My Green Mangoes and White Sauce Spaghetti Recipe

Posted the26/02/2010 By Cravings of the Newlyweds (Visit website)

I'm having second thoughts on what to post first, yay! anyway, mangoes were delivered and the minute I got to hold on it, I immediately took the photo and peeled them, yeah, I was rushing to take the photos so I could start eating them, excited?, yes! I should have waited for hubby but I really can't help myself, so I ate two. Well, hubby didn't mind, he knows how I excited I am and how crazy I am over those fruits. For a glimpse here it is:

Lovely and Yummy! oh, and it comes with bagoong/alamang (shrimp paste), but hubby wouldn't allow me to eat my mangoes with those.. allergic to shrimp! arrghh..so I used soy sauce with sugar.

I wasn't expecting for a Philippine mangoes (we were told that it would either be thailand or vietnam), you bet how happy I am seeing them!

Ok..ok.. I would love to post what had happened to the last bunch of our spinach..but...ah.maybe tomorrow..

Hubby comes home at 5:45pm, and snack/merienda should be ready by then. I usually prepare heavy merienda, actually its an early dinner. If you read my post yesterday, we had some burger steak for lunch, got some leftover patties (it was mine). I was planning to cook beef stroganoff but was hesitant when I saw those patties, so there goes my white sauce spaghetti story.

Ingredients:
200g spaghetti pasta, cooked as per packaged direction
100g sour cream
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup beef bouillon
1/2 cup fresh milk
2 tbsp flour
button mushrooms, drain and chopped
leftover patties, chopped
3 cloves garlic, smashed and chopped
1 small onions, chopped
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
salt
pepper
basil
parsley

Procedure:
1. Combine sour cream, flour, water, milk, beef bouillon and pepper in a bowl, mix well. set aside (use wire whisk in mixing to avoid lumps )
2. Saute, onion and garlic on olive oil and butter (olive oil first before butter)
3. add leftover patties and mushrooms, stir
4. add sauce mixture (refer to # 1),salt, and basil, stir and let it simmer
5. remove to pan and pour to your spaghetti noodles, topped with parsely.
