Never Thought I?d See the Day

By Carrots 'N' Cake (Visit website)

I’m wearing skinny jeans today, which is definitely a first for me. I resisted the trend for as long as I could, but tall boots call for skinny jeans. I never thought I’d see the day!

I actually sort of like skinny jeans– with tall boots, of course! ;-)

Isn’t this photo very FFF of me? ;-)

Mid-Morning Snack

I’m my way to NuVal this morning, I grabbed a small hot coffee from Dunkin’ Donuts (milk, light on the sugar) to enjoy at my desk.

Lunch

I kept lunch on the lighter side today. You’ll see why in a minute! ;-)

I started with a PaleyBar Fruity Nut Evolution Bar, which was totally delicious. It was packed with nuts and dried fruit, and had a slightly sweet honey flavor. Big fan of this one! :-D

Then, I had some Greek yogurt.

And canned pineapple chunks.

And, finally, dessert!

Oh, yes, I did it. An Old Fashioned Donut from Dunkin’ Donuts!

Ok, so donuts are not exactly a healthy example, but the whole premise behind Carrots ‘N’ Cake is that no food is off-limits. Well, except Red Bull because that stuff is nast-y! Plus, it’s not like I am eating donuts everyday, ya know? As far as calories go, I balance my choices throughout the day. My lunch was a little lighter than usual because I wanted to enjoy a donut this afternoon, so I planned the splurge into my day. Of course, there are a lot of scary ingredients in a Dunkin’ Donuts donut, but as long as I don’t make it a habit, what’s the big deal?

Also, check out a couple of Melissa’s favorite fitness products.

Mal and I planned a dinner date for tonight, which is part of the reason that I wanted to look nice today. I do feel pretty stylish in my skinny jeans and boots. ;-)

And, I just want to say that I have exciting news for you guys on Monday. I can’t wait to tell ya!
