Party chex mix and other super bowl ideas

I've never been a huge NFL football fan and to be honest, up until I talked to my dad a couple of days ago I thought the Chicago Bears were playing in the Super Bowl. And I'm pretty sure the Steeler's are playing this weekend, but I could be wrong. I need to check my sources. To make up for my lack of pro football enthusiasm, I have some tasty ideas for food to make for the big game on Sunday. Even though I obviously won't be watching the Super Bowl for the football game, I will definitely be tuning in for the commercials and the half time show.

First up, this chex mix is insanely easy to whip up, made my kitchen smell amazing, and made a huuuuuge batch. Marc (aka Snacky McSnackerson) and I both loved it and even though just the two of us dominated it in a matter of a couple of days, it's perfect for a big crowd!

Party Chex Mix

4 cups wheat chex

3 cups rice or corn chex

1 cup pretzels

1 cup cheese crackers

1 cup cashews

1/2 cup almonds

1/2 cup peanuts

1 stick butter, melted

1 tbsp Worcestershire

1 tsp hot sauce

1 1/2 tsp garlic salt

3/4 tsp onion powder

Directions:

Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. In large bowl, combine cereals, pretzels, crackers, and nuts. In small bowl, melt butter. Add Worcestershire, hot sauce, garlic salt, and onion powder. Pour over cereal mixture and gently stir until evenly coated. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
