Puff Pastry Twisters

As I told you in my previous post, I have cooked a lot these days. One of the new things I tried is these puff pastry twisters. The idea comes from Canadian Living but I made them my own way. They are very easy to make and are great as appetizers or accompaniments of lunch or dinner. In the photo you see also a french baguette. I didn't make this, it is store bought.
Puff Pastry Twisters
Ingredients
1 package puff pastry(thawed, but do not let it be too soft or it will be hard to work with)
4 tbsp pesto genovese
Instructions
In the puff pastry package there are two sheets. You can either use both or one. I used one on one day and the other the next day.
Preheat oven to 200C. Take the 1st puff pastry sheet open it and spread 2 tbsp of pesto genovese. Then with a knife cut the pustry crosswise in strips. Each strip should have 3 cm width. Take each strip, fold it so as to become a strip of 1,5 cm width with the pesto sauce folded in and twist it. Take a pan cover with baking paper brush it with oil and put the twisted strips on it. Bake until golden around 15 minutes. You do the same for the other puff pastry sheet.
