Raw Vegan Chocolate Mousse
How are you doing today? I'm doing great, one more day til the weekend! Woo-hooo!
One cool thing that happened Wednesday is that I found a hair girl who actually did my hair the way I wanted it done. Remember that I was bee-otching about my last trip to the salon? Well, I found a girl who not only did my hair the way I want it which is blond highlights without using bleach, but she was actually lightning fast and really reasonable. Triple bonus! Look at the color, not the style. The style is a mess from just having whipped up another batch of kale chips and it had been up in a pony. Put camera over head, push button. This is whatcha get. You're probably like, spare me. Moving right along to the mail. My "Eat Raw Live Long" shirt showed up. I had seen a certain Adorable Raw Girl named Gena wearing one, and had to get in on that raw retail action. Note Skylar primping her hair. My little natural blond was showing me her highlights. Monkey see, monkey do. I ordered a size larger than I thought I probably needed on the tshirt. And indeed, it's a little baggy. But I'd rather go for baggy than boobalicious, if you know what I mean. I am kinda past the skintight shirt scene. Plus it's good for lounging around. You know me, lounging around eating Ho-Ho's and Bon Bon's all day. Kidding, but I do eat and create are lots of raw vegan chocolate desserts! So moving off the girl talk and onto the grub, I am so happy that you liked the Raw Vegan Chocolate Coconut Snowballs Recipe I posted. Sooooo easy, so yummy about midnight when that pesky chocolate craving strikes. Raw Vegan Chocolate Coconutty Heaven As long as we're talking about Chocolate Desserts, let's just go all out with another Raw Vegan Chocolate Dessert Recipe.... ....Averie's Raw Vegan Chocolate Mousse This recipe of mine comes to you by way of a guest post that I recently did on Deb's Blog while she was off galavanting through Europe. What a lucky girl! No, actually I was the lucky one because I was flattered that Deb asked me to post on her bloggie in her absence. Here's the recipe snippet from that post: This recipe has been relayed and parlayed more times than you can shake a stick at, but this is my personal rendition of Raw Vegan Chocolate Mousse. Bring this to a dinner party or a potluck or serve it as frosting on top a birthday cake and trust me, no one will think it's raw, vegan, or remotely healthy. Averie's Raw Vegan Chocolate Mousse Combine in Vita-Mix or Food Processor 2 ripe avocados 1/2 c agave 1/4 c cocoa powder Optional: 2 Tbsp Coconut Oil Dash Vanilla Extract Blend until smooth and dig outta the canister Put in container and chill in fridge, or freeze to make it really decadent like a thick mousse-ey ice cream, or make it pretty and do it up parfait style in glasses alternating layers of choco mousse and strawberries or other fruit. Or as I mentioned, you can even thin it out a smidge more with an extra dash of agave and this will become your go-to frosting. Serious. Enjoy! And if anyone wants to really go crazy with chocolate, my Raw Vegan Brownies are mouthgasmic! Recipe and step-by-step instructions are here. But you can feast your eyes on these chocolate mouthgasm pics first. Tip of the Day: The Healthy Diva's Give Away Meredith's Give Away What's your strategy for returning things or asking for your money back? If you get served a crappy meal in a restaurant, do you ask for money off? If you buy a dozen mushy apples, do you bring 11 back and ask for a refund? What about bad services, like hair appointments gone wrong? The original salon where I got my hair done won't give me my money back. Instead, they want to "fix my hair". I told them that would be like returning to the scene of the crime, and now why would I do that? So I guess I'm out my loot. In these economic times and the older I get, the more unashamed I am about asking for refunds or credits. What's your approach? Stay Tuned For Lotsa Kale Chips and a Flashback Friday Pic or Two...
