REVIEW: TACO DEL MAR

By SACRAMENTO BLOG UNCUT (Visit website)

On the way home work yesterday, I found myself at the corner of Exposition Blvd. & Leisure Lane.

I was very burned out & the thought of cooking dinner was out of the question. Basically I was hungry & I wanted to go home. I was pretty much sick of dealing with people all day.

As I sat at the stop light I noticed a few small signs saying "5.00 platters after 5:00PM"

There was an arrow pointing to the Taco Del Mar restaurant. Even though it was just 4:30, I figured I would check this place out.

Taco Del Mar is located behind the Raddison Hotel & kitty corner to the Costco Gas station. If you are hungry, you will find it!

So I pulled in the very weird parking lot & went inside. The number on the door said 400. 400 what I don't know. The main thing was that I found the place.

Taco Del Mar was small & clean. There was a very cute young lady behind the counter. She appeared to be the only one working at the time.

The menu was displayed on large poster boards against the back wall. I decided on two steak tacos, black beans & rice along with a fountain drink.

Since this was a combo deal the total was $6.50. Not too bad. I decided to get my order to go. Nothing like eating at your own kitchen table. Do you feel me?

As the young lady was putting my order together I asked her about a takeout menu & she responded with sorry, we don't have a take out menu.

I also told her that this looks pretty good. She responded with a big smile saying yeah it's gonna be good!

She was right!

When I got home I unwrapped the tacos & put everything on a dinner plate. The tacos were very good. The black beans & rice were primo!

Will I go back to Taco Del Mar? Yes, for sure.

It was a good meal at a good price!

I give Taco Del Mar 3 out of 4 stars.

When you check out this place, be sure to mention that you read about it on Sacramento Blog Uncut!
