Sowe?s Native Lechon in Manila
Whenever we crave for lechon during Sunday lunches, we normally get it from Sowe?s Lechon near the church where we hear our mass. It is very accessible and they sell Lechon per kilo. For many years now, we almost always buy here for our own consumption. Whenever we order from them, Dad often requests for extra skin. I often request for the pig?s cheek, the most tender part, YUM! And since Ate and Kuya already know us, they give in. Since were there already waiting for our Lechon to be chopped, we normally get the knuckles part too. Then mom transforms this into Paksiw which Dad loves. They also sell Bopis (Chopped Innards) and Dinuguan (Blood Stew), the latter they give us for free. For us, even if Sowe?s Lechon is just a stall in one of Manila?s streets, they also serve good quality Lechon. This is the reason why we?ve been going back to them for years now.
