Update and The December Photo Project

I'm not even going to pretend that I haven't been neglecting my blog because I have definitely been neglecting it. Simple recipes are not all that I want this space to be used for, but so far, that's all it is- a virtual recipe box!



If only you knew what has been going on these last 3 months... things like trips to the post office, waiting to hear if your husband was accepted to a university more than half way around the world, finding out that HE WAS!!!, applying for passports, buying plane tickets, planning details, running into snags here and there, freaking out about the cost to ship 100 cubic feet half way around the world (the cost was out of this world!) and eventually concluding that you will be moving halfway around the world with the belongings you can cram into three 50lb suitcases.



All this to say that we are moving to Christchurch, New Zealand! Woohoo! We are ecstatic, as moving to NZ has been a dream of ours for a couple of years now.



So that's my excuse. Insane changes, lots of research and mind boggling plans in the works.



I've missed posting here though, and I hope to share more details soon and allow you to come along on our adventure! Until then, I thought a nice way to get back into blogging would be by participating in something my sister introduced me to through her blog. It's called The December Photo Project. The basic idea is to take one picture a day for the month of December in a way that allows readers to view the month through your eyes.
