  • American-style pulled pork - Preparation step 1Mix the brown sugar, paprika, salt, barbecue sauce, and water.
  • American-style pulled pork - Preparation step 2Rub the pork shoulder well with the sauce.
  • American-style pulled pork - Preparation step 3Place it in a baking dish and pour the sauce over it. Add 2 bay leaves on top of the meat.
  • American-style pulled pork - Preparation step 4Bake at 250°F (120°C) for 6 to 7 hours. Baste the meat regularly to keep it moist. If you have a meat thermometer, the internal temperature should reach 190°F (90°C).

Observations

The cut: if you can't find pork shoulder, you can substitute it with pork neck.
