What is one food you thought you?d miss when you went vegan, but don?t?
Steak. I prefer tofu, these days. And it's easier to digest.

What is a food or dish you wouldn?t touch as a child, but enjoy now?
Mushrooms and fried onions. I think it was a textural dislike more than anything else!

What vegan dish or food you feel like you ?should? like, but don?t?
Tempeh - holy mother of God, it tastes like ass.

What beverage do you consume the most of on any given day?
Tea

What dish are you ?famous? for making or bringing to gatherings?
I'm a notorious cake baker. My parents still fondly reminisce about a really 'gooey' red velvet cake I made for my brother's birthday one year...

Do you have any self-imposed food rules (like no food touching on the plate or no nuts in sweets)?
I don't like hard or crunchy things - granary bread, muesli, jagged crisps, toast crusts etc - because of a lifetime of dealing with bad teeth. One misplaced rye grain can cause a lot of pain if you bite on it wrong...

What?s one food or dish you tend to eat too much of when you have it in your home?
Tofutti cream cheese. It's just too good to leave alone for long...

What ingredient or food do you prefer to make yourself despite it being widely available prepackaged?

Bread

What ingredient or food is worth spending the extra money to get ?the good stuff??
Tea. Seriously, that's the only area I'm fussy these days!

Are you much of a snacker? What are your favorite snacks?
I try not to snack, but if I do, I try to choose sensible things like fruit and the odd spoonful of hummus to compensate for the big pudding I'll eat at dinner, and the crisps I like to eat after dark...

What are your favorite vegan pizza toppings?
I like any kind of tangy sauce - tapenade or ketchup and passata - combined with lots of grated cheeze. I'm a margherita kind of girl, basically.

What is your favorite vegetable? Fruit?
Difficult, but I'd have to say carrot (so versatile and so delicious raw) and watermelon.

What is the best salad dressing?
A simple vinagrette of olive oil, white wine vinegar, salt and black pepper.

What is your favorite thing to put on toasted bread?
Marmite, of course.

What kind of soup do you most often turn to on a chilly day or when you aren?t feeling your best?
Very, very simple lentil broth.

What is your favorite cupcake flavor? Frosting flavor?

Lemon Poppyseed cupcake with cream cheeze frosting.

What is your favorite kind of cookie?

Coconut chocolate chip cookies from La Dolce Vegan. Chewy and delicious.

What is your most-loved ?weeknight meal??
Pasta with fridge pesto. Yummy, fast and nutritious.

What is one dish or food you enjoy, but can?t get anyone else in your household to eat?
Seitan.

How long, in total, do you spend in the kitchen on an average day?
Too long - 2-4 hours.
