Preparation

  • Wash mangoes and peel the outer skin with the help of a spoon. Since ripe mangoes are used it is very use to peel the skin using a spoon.
  • Now cut small pieces of mango. Keep aside.
  • Boil mixture of water and sugar in a pan. Now add the mango slices when the water starts boiling. Heat the mixture till it reaches the stage of one string.
  • One string stage - Drop of syrup between the thumb and index finger should form a single string.

Pl. note that this is recipe is for sakharamba & not gulamba, Gulamba is made with jaggery and not suger. Receipe is correct. one can add 2-3 cloves & elaichi in sugar syrup

Gulamba as name suggests we use gud (jaggery) and not sugar.. if u use sugar it must called "sakharamba"
