Pandan (screwpine) poached pears

2 green pears - remove skin.

1/2 juice of lemon

10 pandan leaves - blend/process with 1 1/2 cups of water. Drain and remove the leaves

3-4 dropping of green colouring

1/2 cup of white sugar


  • Rub lemon juice all over pears and save the extras of the juice.

    Into a pot, add pear, sugar, lemon juice and pandan extract.

    Simmer until pears becomes soft and tender.

    Remove the pear and continue to simmer to thicken the syrup.

    Place the pears on a serving tray and pour the syrup on top.
