Vanilla flan cake with caramel
A wonderful dessert made of 3 layers : one layer of cake, one layer of flan and one layer of caramel ! Smells like Heaven !

- Caramel :
Melt sugar in a pan and stir. Add water gradually while stiring with a spatula. - When the caramel start to bubble, pour it into the mould. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
- Flan :
Mix eggs + milk + cream + vanilla + milk + condensed milk. - Cake :
Whisk the egg whites until they form a peak and add the sugar gradually to make a meringue. Set aside.
- Mix egg yolks + sugar + vanilla + salt. Add milk + oil and mix well. Add flour + baking soda + baking powder and mix.
- Add the meringue to the batter and set aside.
- Pour the flan batter into the mould and cover it with the cake batter.
- Bake in a water bath for 1h30 at 320°F. Remove from oven and leave to cool down. Refrigerate so the cake can cool down completely.
- To unmold the cake easily, place it in a water bath with boiling water for 10 minutes and remove the mould.
- There you are, your vanilla flan cake with caramel is ready !
