Number of serving: 4
All purpose flour - 2 cups

Baking powder - 2 tsp

Butter - 1 cup

Sugar - 1 1/2 cups

Eggs - 4 nos

Vanilla essence - 2 tsp

Walnuts - 1/2 cups

Milk - 3/4 cup


  • Sieve the flour & baking powder together. Keep aside.
  • Cream the butter & sugar till light & fluffy. Add eggs one at a time & beating well after each addition.
  • Add flour mixture alternately with milk & vanilla essence. Beat on low speed just until combined. Stir in chopped walnuts.
  • Grease the baking pan with butter & flour. Pour the batter into the prepared pans.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 mins at 350 or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool & remove from the pan.
