What if we created our own plant-based drinks? Let's start with almond milk! With water and crunchy almonds, you'll get an ultra-smooth result. Perfect to accompany your tea or coffee break, or for baking. The advantage of this recipe? It's zero waste! No brick to throw away, everything will be consumed ;-) As for the okara (the crushed and squeezed almonds left over once your almond milk is ready), you can use it to liven up your yoghurts or turn it into cookies, and we have a recipe ;-)

  • Homemade almond milk - Preparation step 1Place the almonds in a bowl and pour boiling water over them. Cover with a cloth and let it sit for 1 hour.
  • Homemade almond milk - Preparation step 2Drain the almonds and place them in a blender. Add the 2 & 1/2 cups of water and blend.
  • Homemade almond milk - Preparation step 3Pour the mixture into a bowl, straining it through a vegetable milk bag. Squeeze out as much milk as possible.
  • Homemade almond milk - Preparation step 4It's ready, and you can even reuse the okara (the almonds left in your bag) to make delicious recipes!
